Meat of bovine animals; fresh or chilled
In plain English
This category includes meat from cattle that is either fresh or chilled. It is divided into three groups based on how the meat is prepared. One group covers whole carcasses or half-carcasses. The other two groups separate the meat into cuts that still have bones attached and cuts that are completely boneless.

Chapter 02 classification notes
Frequent misclassification in this chapter
Cooked / processed / canned meats fall under Chapter 16 (preparations of meat); raw frozen meat stays in Chapter 02. Edible offal (heart, liver, kidneys) under 0206 is sometimes mis-declared as muscle meat.
Classification certainty
The 6-digit level shown here is the internationally harmonised layer. Duty rates attach to national 8-10 digit tariff lines, which differ by country — use the duty calculator for lane estimates. For binding certainty, request a ruling from the destination customs authority.
