United States
FAA Part 107 covers commercial; recreational under TRUST + UAS registration. Remote ID rule effective Sept 2023. Foreign visitors register on the FAA Drone Zone portal.
United Kingdom
CAA Operator ID + Flyer ID required for drones over 250 g. EU/EASA-aligned categories (Open / Specific / Certified). C0/C1/C2 class markings affect requirements.
Japan
MLIT registration mandatory for drones over 100 g; Remote ID required since June 2022. Tourist registration via the DIPS portal.
Australia
CASA registration for drones 250 g - 25 kg; recreational < 250 g exempt. OpenSky app for flight planning.
Thailand
All drones must register with CAAT + NBTC (radio licence) before flight. Registration is mandatory regardless of weight; tourist registration via the CAAT portal.
Singapore
Registration for drones 250 g - 25 kg. UA Pilot Licence required for commercial use. CAAS strict enforcement at sensitive locations.
Germany
EU EASA-aligned: registration via LBA for drones over 250 g or with camera. EU drone licence (A1/A3 'Open' category).
France
DGAC registration for drones 800 g - 25 kg. EU EASA framework applies. AlphaTango portal for registration.
India
DGCA Drone Rules 2021 require Digital Sky registration. UIN (Unique Identification Number) for all drones above 250 g. Foreign visitors face additional permits.
Philippines
CAAP Memo 21-19 requires registration for all drones over 250 g. Certificate of Registration + Certificate of Authorisation for some operations.
Indonesia
DGCA registration required. Bali drone enforcement is strict — military / palace overflight is prosecutable.
United Arab Emirates
GCAA registration mandatory before any drone flight. Tourist registration via UAE Drone Centre portal; UAE has strictest enforcement among Gulf states.
