Wine duty-free allowances are separate from spirits in many countries and are often more generous given wine's lower alcohol content. The UK permits 18 liters of still wine duty-free for personal import. Australia allows 2.25 liters of wine duty-free. Wine is completely prohibited in Saudi Arabia, K. Enforcement in United Arab Emirates carries fines from AED 500 to AED 50,000 under Federal Customs Law No. 1 of 2003; GCC Common Customs Law (typical personal cases are handled as civil infringements).
