GCC historical Israel boycott (largely relaxed 2020-2023)

Historical GCC primary and secondary boycott of Israel formally exists in some GCC states' statute books but has been substantially relaxed since the 2020 Abraham Accords (UAE, Bahrain, Morocco, Sudan) and subsequent bilateral normalisations. Today: UAE, Bahrain, Morocco have effectively suspended boycott enforcement; Saudi Arabia + Kuwait + Qatar retain elements but commercial practice has normalised significantly with most goods-of-Israeli-origin moving freely. Specific friction points: maritime route certifications (some Saudi ports still require non-Israeli-origin declarations); travel-document scrutiny of passports with Israeli stamps was relaxed across the GCC after 2020 but discretion remains. Verify current status per destination before commercial commitments; the regulatory landscape is fluid.
