Customs notes

Singapore Customs and ICA operate green / red channels at all four terminals. GST relief applies to goods under S$500 for trips under 48 hours or S$500 for 48+ hours — anything above declare at red. Alcohol allowances 1L spirits + 1L wine (or 2L wine + 1L beer combinations). No duty-free tobacco — cigarettes must be declared and paid on even one pack.

Transit

Changi is fully sterile for international transit. Passengers with onward international flights stay airside without clearing immigration. Terminal-to-terminal transfers via free Skytrain (T1↔T2↔T3) or bus to/from T4. Minimum connection 50 minutes in same terminal, 75 between.

• Customs@SG (declaration + GST payment)

Known quirks

• Every cigarette entering Singapore is dutiable — no personal allowance, even one pack triggers declaration
• Chewing gum (except therapeutic) prohibited entirely, including for personal use
• T4 has no Skytrain — bus transfer to T1/T2/T3 takes 10-15 minutes
