Personal medical devices allowed without restriction
Details
Personal medical devices (CPAP machines, insulin pumps, mobility aids, hearing aids, glucose monitors) are unrestricted entering the UK for the user's own use. The MHRA does not require notification for personal-use medical devices brought in by the patient. Quantities suggesting commercial intent (multiple unboxed units of the same device) trigger MHRA Medical Device Regulations review. CPAP machines and oxygen concentrators must travel as carry-on for in-flight use.
