Declaration on the Incoming Passenger Card recommended. Devices containing therapeutic substances (insulin reservoirs, controlled-drug pumps) require accompanying prescription. ABF rarely intervenes for clearly personal-medical use.

Personal-use personal medical devices may be taken out of Australia without export formalities. Personal medical devices (CPAP machines, glucose monitors, nebulisers, mobility aids) may be exported freely.
