Details

France maintains a prohibition on cannabis including seeds. Despite being Europe's largest cannabis consumer per capita, France has not legalized recreational use. Penalties include up to 1 year imprisonment for possession. CBD products (under 0.3% THC) are legal. Enforcement in France carries fines from EUR 3,750 to EUR 375,000 and imprisonment up to 10 years in aggravated cases under Code des douanes Art. 414; Code pénal Art. 222-36.
