Maximum 10kg per person with declaration
Details
Australia limits personal imports of infant formula to 10kg per person and requires declaration. This limit exists partly to prevent bulk buying for grey-market resale to China (the daigou trade). Formula must be commercially packaged and within expiry date. Enforcement in Australia carries fines from AUD 444 to AUD 2,664 under Customs Act 1901 s.234; Biosecurity Act 2015 s.535 (typical personal cases are handled as civil infringements).
