Delhi tuk-tuk 'hotel closed' diversion
Driver claims your destination hotel is closed / under renovation and offers to take you to a 'better' one (which pays them commission). Insist on your destination + the original address; call the hotel from the driver's phone before agreeing to redirect.
Currency exchange / ATM 'helper' scam at DEL / BOM
Locals offer to 'help' you at the ATM, then either skim the card or steal cash. Use only ATMs inside bank lobbies; refuse all assistance.
