Posting perfume to Malaysia is customs-permitted but carrier-constrained: fragrance alcohol is a Class 3 dangerous-goods limited quantity, so many national posts refuse or cap air-mail perfume, and couriers require limited-quantity packaging. On the customs side Royal Malaysian Customs Department (RMCD) treats it as an ordinary parcel: an accurate CN22/CN23 declaration is required, import VAT/GST at 10% SST / 6% service applies above the exemption threshold, plus duty on above-threshold consignments. Sales and Service Tax (SST) de minimis threshold was lowered from MYR 500 to MYR 500 for most goods, but for goods from major e-commerce platforms the threshold may be lower. Import duty de minimis is also generally MYR 500. Check RMCD for most current guidance as low-value goods rules were under revision.
Confirm the carrier accepts perfume before shipping to Malaysia — postal refusal is more common than a customs problem. Declare contents accurately on the CN22/CN23; 'gift' mislabelling does not remove import charges and flags the parcel.
